| Duff-Norton Europe – previously known as Raccords Gautier or S.E.R.G. – was founded in 1927. At that time it supplied rotary connections to the tyre manufacturing industry. Since then, the company has never stopped developing, initially on the French market, followed by the European and finally the world stage.

In 1998, Columbus McKinnon Corporation, based at Amherst in New York State, acquired Raccords Gautier. This buyout was driven by the desire for development and additional products. It was therefore not surprising that Raccords Gautier should merge with Duff-Norton, a Columbus McKinnon subsidiary and manufacturer of rotary connections under the brand name Rotary Unions ®.

The merger of these two companies enabled our customers to take advantage of our wide range of rotary unions fully covering their needs across a variety of industries such as :

- pharmaceuticals,
- textiles,
- paper,
- printing,
- etc...
In 2004, Duff-Norton Europe began European distribution of Duff-Norton mechanical (worm gear) and electro-mechanical actuators. This new business gave users of Duff-Norton mechanical actuators a contact and faster support, thereby improving their effectiveness.
